Councilman Herkner moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 525, entitled "An Ordinance Establishing a Park and Recreation Commission of the City of Redwood City and Prescrib- ing the Terms of the Members Thereof and Defining the Pacers and Duties of Such Commission," to provide that the regular meetings of the Park and Recreation Commission shall be in the Veterans Memorial Build- ings Redwood City (MINUTE ORDER #59-121), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Councilman Fields moved that Thomas L. Taggart, James Gallagher and John Howard be appointed to the Six Year Committee (MINUTE ORDER #59-123), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. COMMUNICATIONS: Gilliam R. Sterling, 2742 Ohio Avenue, extended a letter of thanks to Mr. Brophy for his help in giving information concerning technical accounting problems he confronts and commended the City for the attitude of service beyond the letter of the law evidenced by city officials. The Redwood City Library Staff expressed its gratitude to the City Council for the salary increase given them on July lst. The Mayor called attention to the Board of Equalization meeting on Monday, July 20th at 10:00 a. rm. Councilman Fields moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Grapger and carried.
