330 <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 2815 APPROVING PLANS, PROFILES, DETAILED DRAWINGS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS, EAGLE HILL TERRACE IMPROVEMENTS (AVENUE DEL ORA TO TERMINUS), seconded by Councilman Fields <br />and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2816 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT <br />CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVF2WTS, EAGLE HILL TERRACE IMPROVEMENTS (AVENUE DEL ORA TO TERMINUS), seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2817 FIXING THE MINIMUM WAGE SCALE, EAGLE HILL TERRACE <br />IMPROVEMENTS ( AVENUE DEL ORA TO TERMINUS), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Coun- <br />cilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />w� <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2818 CALLING FOR BIDS, EAGLE HILL TERRACE IMPROVEMENTSmoo <br />i <br />(AVENUE DEL ORA TO TERMINUS), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth <br />being noted absent. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING for furnishing all labor, materials, transportation and services for the construction, <br />reconstruction and/or repair of sidewalks, driveways, and curbs and gutters in the City of Redwood City. <br />There were irregularities in both bids received and it was recommended that the bids be rejected and author- <br />ization be given to readvertise for bids. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2819 REJECT- <br />ING ALL BIDS RECEIVED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, JULY 15, 1959, FOR CONSTRUCTION, RECONSTRUCTION, AND/OR <br />REPAIR OF SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS, CURBS, GUTTERS, OR OTHER APPURTENANT STRUCTURES; AND, AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK <br />TO READVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SAID WORK, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman <br />Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 192 of Ordinance No. 758, being the Traf- <br />fic Ordinance of the City of Redwood City, and adding <br />thereto Section 192.20 <br />to provide for limited parking <br />on certain designated streets (MINUTE ORDER #59-128), <br />seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried. This <br />will establish 2 hour parking zone on Lathrop Street between E1 Camino Real and Chestnut Street. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2820 DETERMINING THAT PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH <br />REQUIRES PURCHASE OF POISONS AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR EXTERMINATING AND DESTROYING RODENTS IN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY; AND, APPROPRIATING $730.05 FOR SUCH PURPOSE, secondild by Councilman Rosselli and carried on <br />roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Councilman "erkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2821 APPROVING AND ADOPTING "MUNICIPAL MARINA DEVELOPMENT <br />PLAN"', seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilman Weymouth being noted absent. <br />Consideration of awarding contract to engineering consultants for plans and specifications of facilities in <br />Municipal Marina to be financed by the $300,000 loan from the State Small Crafts Harbors Commission. This <br />item was removed from the agenda. <br />CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASING USED PARKING METERS. The City Manager explained that the City had an opportunity to <br />purchase 1000 used parking meters of the same type we are now using at a cost of $6.00 each as ccmpared to <br />$65.00 new. Mr. Neal recommended that the City purchase 320 meters at a total cost of $1,996.80 to be used <br />in the new parking lot. Councilman Spillers moved to authorize the City Manager to proceed with the pur- <br />chasing (MINUTE ORDER #59-129), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />M. J. KING CONSTRUCTION CO. REQUESTS AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO AUGUST 31, 1959, <br />on the construction of the cul- <br />vert on Palm Avenue in WOODSIDE TERRACE N0. 8 SUBDIVISION. Councilman Spillers moved to grant the ex- <br />tension of time as requested (MINUTE ORDER #59-130), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />RECOMMENDATION TO ACCEPT IMPROVEMENTS IN NEWELL PARK SUBDIVISION. The City Engineer recommended that the imp- <br />rovements be accepted subject to the usual conditions: (1) one year guarantee against defects in workman- <br />ship and materials; and (2) payment of all accounts owed the City.
