A 338 Minutes of the Regular Meeting Redwood City Council August 10, 1959, 8:00 P -M - Invocation was led by Reverend Rowland To Edgeworthj, First Baptist -Churcho, ON -ROLL CALL the following were noted present.* Councilmen Ron W. Fieldsp Floyd Do Granger., Sidney Do Herknerp John So Rossellis Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymaath., Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. So Dodge* Also present were City Attorney Robert. J. Costello., Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel., City Engineer Glenn Me Jain,, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Police,Chief William Faulstich., Police Lieuten- ant Joel Mansfields Water Superintendent Lisle Winters Fire Chief Joseph Lodi# Planning Director Dick Wilkinson and Building Inspector So H. Kreisso Councilman eymouth moved approval of the minutes of August 3rd as mailed., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNEXATION OF LESLIE ANNEXATION NO, I -A. The public hearing was declared open and the affidavits of publication were ordered filed. The affidavit of mailing of notice of hearing of annex- ation and the affidavit concerning ownership and value of land and improvements in said territory as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo were ordered filed, The Clerk read the report of the State Lands Commission wherein they stated that the value of 22 acres of State sovereign lands included in Resolution No. 2750 designated as Leslie Annexation No. I -A was $4,,400., pursuant to the provisions for such determination as specified in Section 35313.1 of the Govern- ment Code. The Clerk read the report of the Assessor Auditor indicating that the recommended value of public prop- erty within the area designated as Leslie A nnexation No. I -A is $5..635.00. Description of said public LOM 'property is as follows: "City and County of San Francisco 20-52 A. MOL Tract F 369*370s, Redwood City School District". City Clerk reported that there were no protests received biled by owners of property within the area, RESOLUTION NO. 2828 DETERMINING THE VALUE OF TIDE OR SUBMERGED LANDS INCLUDED WITHIN THE TERRITORY PRO- POSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY KNOWN AS "LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. 1 -All was offered by Councilman Spillers who moved adoption., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call* RESOLUTION NO. 2829 DETERMINING THE VALUE CF PUBLICLY OWNED PROPERTY WITHIN THE TERRITORY TO BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY., DESIGNATED AS "LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. I -A". Councilman Herkner moved adoption of the resolution., seconded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll call* RESOLUTION NO. 2830- RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGN- ATED AS "LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. I -All HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY OWNERS OF ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE OF PRIVATE Poo PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY AS SHOWN BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL, NOR BY THE OWNERS OF ONE- HAIF OF THE VALUE OF PUBLICLY -OWNED PROIERTY WITHIN SAID TERRITORY AS DETERMINED BY SAID COUNCIL. Coun- cilman Rosselli moved adoption of the resolution., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call. INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY�DESIGNATED "LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. 1-Attj, AND HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. Councilman Fields moved introduction of the foregoing ordinances seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
