Dodge. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. <br />Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman <br />Louis Weiss was noted absent due to illness. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney <br />Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police Chief William Faulstich, Water Superintendent He L. <br />Winter and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS DENIAL OF A. F. ODDSTADtS PETITION to rezone the property in the vicinity of Farm <br />Hills Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue from "U" (Unclassified) District to R -3—G (Garden Apartment) District. <br />Courr ilman Spillers moved to set the matter for public hearing on February 9th, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS DENIAL OF SLATT & PRYORtS, PETITION to amend Ordinance No. 600 to provide f or.re— <br />zbning7from R-2 District to R -3—G (Garden Apartment) District, Lot 28, less northwesterly150t, Map of <br />Reese Subdivision of a part of Redwood Farm, located at 798 Redwood Avenue. Plaehn — Arguello Street north of Whipple Avenue), <br />seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. _ <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2635 COMMENDING FRANK HANNIG FOR HIS SERVICES AS A MEMBER <br />OF THE REDWOOD CITY VETERANS 10AORIAL COMMISSION,. seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, <br />Councilman Weiss being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli offered the name of Clyde Crippen to fill the vacancy on the Veterans Memorial Commission, <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. (Minute Order X59-4) <br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending subsection (e) of section 3 of Ordinance No. 535 <br />(Taxicab Ordinance) to provide for an adjustment in the rates of the fare charged for taxi service in the <br />City of Redwood City; and, repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith, seconded by Councilman Rosselli <br />and carried with Councilmen Herkner and Weymouth disqualifying themselves because of business associations <br />with the Taxicab Company and Councilman Weiss being noted absent. <br />Report on gasoline bid opening.
