Claims 28010 through 28141, totaling $110,075.17, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Weymouth, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, John S. Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Councilman Louis Weiss was noted absent due to illness. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police Chief William Faulstich, Water Superintendent He L. Winter and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Holmquist. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS DENIAL OF A. F. ODDSTADtS PETITION to rezone the property in the vicinity of Farm Hills Boulevard and Jefferson Avenue from "U" (Unclassified) District to R -3—G (Garden Apartment) District. Courr ilman Spillers moved to set the matter for public hearing on February 9th, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS DENIAL OF SLATT & PRYORtS, PETITION to amend Ordinance No. 600 to provide f or.re— zbning7from R-2 District to R -3—G (Garden Apartment) District, Lot 28, less northwesterly150t, Map of Reese Subdivision of a part of Redwood Farm, located at 798 Redwood Avenue. Councilman Herkner mored that this matter be set for public hearing on February 9th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman E'°osselli moved introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600 to rezone portion of Block 13, Lenolt Subdivision, from R-2 and 0-1 to R-3 District (A. Plaehn — Arguello Street north of Whipple Avenue), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. _ Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2635 COMMENDING FRANK HANNIG FOR HIS SERVICES AS A MEMBER OF THE REDWOOD CITY VETERANS 10AORIAL COMMISSION,. seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Weiss being noted absent. Councilman Rosselli offered the name of Clyde Crippen to fill the vacancy on the Veterans Memorial Commission, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. (Minute Order X59-4) Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending subsection (e) of section 3 of Ordinance No. 535 (Taxicab Ordinance) to provide for an adjustment in the rates of the fare charged for taxi service in the City of Redwood City; and, repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried with Councilmen Herkner and Weymouth disqualifying themselves because of business associations with the Taxicab Company and Councilman Weiss being noted absent.
