347 <br />3) Payment of all charges Awed the City. <br />Councilman Herkner moved to accept the work subject to the above conditions (MINUTE ORDER #59-142), <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2869 OF THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 CF AGREEMENT FOR MAINTENANCE CF STATE HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />L <br />Loyal Order of Moose appeal from Planning Commission's denial of use permit application. Councilman Spillers <br />moved to set the matter for public hearing on September 28th (MINUTE ORDER #59-143)., seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Weymouth and carried. <br />WILLIAM MORRIS, 1090 Charter Street, requests permission to operate a used furniture store. The staff re- <br />commended that the permit be granted subject to all merchandise being kept within the building or that <br />a solid fence be constructed so that it can not be seen from the outside. Councilman Weymouth moved to <br />grant the permit subject to the above conditions (MINUTE ORDER #59-144), seconded by Councilman S pillers <br />and carried. <br />RICHARD DFJXCCHI'S application for permit to conduct public laundry in Marsh Manor, west side Florence <br />Street 320 feet north of Marsh Road. Councilman Spillers moved to grant the permit (MINUTE ORDER #59- <br />244A), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF SEQUOIA RESERVOIR. City Attorney Costello reported that no Council action was necessary at this <br />time. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITION TO 49er BUILDING. The addition to the 49er Building was completed within the time <br />specified in the general contract and to the satisfaction of the Building Department with the exception <br />of two protective special metal screens held in transit due to the recent Teamster's strike. <br />The Building Inspector has been assured by the General Contractor that all haste will be made to com- <br />plete this detail. The Building Inspector and the City Manager recommend that all the work under con- <br />tract to the Lippi Construction Company be accepted as complying to all the conditions of the general <br />contract. Councilman Weymouth moved to accept the work subject to the above conditions (MINUTE ORDER <br />#59-W)s seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO., 2870 BEING THE RESOLUTION CF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION, <br />BAYSHORE INDUSTRIAL PARR NO. 1, seconded by Councilman Fields and -carried unanimously on roll call• <br />(Public, hearing, September 28th) <br />ARTHUR & GUDRUN ANDERSON'S petition to rezone the N6P]y 80; of Lot 3, Block B, Woodside Acres Map No. 1 f rom <br />its present designation as an R-2 District to an R -3-G District. Councilman <br />Weymouth moved adaption of RESOLUTION NO. 2871 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND <br />AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION BY THE CITY CF REDWOOD <br />CITY OF CERTAIN RIGHTS IN AND UPON LOT 21, BLOCK 7, HIGHLANDS OF EMERALD LAKE SUBDIVISION N0. ONE, IN <br />CONNECTION WITH CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING AN ACTION IN <br />
