0 <br />Poo <br />0 <br />0 <br />0 - <br />4V 5 <br />Spillers moved to close the public hearing., seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to refer the matter back to the Planning Commission to be considered a week <br />from Tuesday night., February 9th (MINUTE ORDER #60-28), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Petitions bearing 1.19 signatures were presented to the Council requesting the City of Redwood City to al- <br />leviate the dangerous condition that exists on Harcross Road in order that students attending Benjamin <br />Franklin school may use this road with safety. Since the item was not on the agenda and no one had a <br />chance to study it., Councilman Spillers moved to refer the petitions to the City Manager for investi- <br />gation and be placed on the agenda for next Monday night., February 8th (MINUTE ORDER #60-29), seconded <br />by Councilman Fields and carried: <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING.. CHAMBER CF COMMERCE LEASE. One bid was received and that was from the Chamber of <br />Commerce in the amount of $1.00 per year for a perios of ten years from the expiration of the present <br />lease. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2974 AWARDING BID FOR LEASE OF LAND AND <br />F1,11COVEMENTS AT CORNER OF M;I! ! 91 1. ! • ! A ! AND JEFFEFSCK AVENUEp REDWOOD CITY9 TO CHAMBER CF. COMMERCE <br />OF REDWOCD CITY., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />DISCUSSION OF AUDITORIUM REPORT. Dick Wilkinson explained to the public the offer made the City by the <br />P. C. A. C. A.ls proposals, seconded by Councilman Rosselli. After <br />discussion the motion was changed to add accept the P. C. A.fs proposals in principle (MINUTE ORDER <br />#60-30)• The motion carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Spillers stated his objections to <br />items b and c. <br />CLIFFORD GILBERT REQUESTS VARIANCE FROM DRIVEWAY ORDINANCE to allow for a three car garage driveway entrance <br />and a double driveway for entrance to other garages, 130 Cerrito. Mayor Royer turned his chair over to <br />Councilman Granger and abstained from voting because he had a previous interest in the property. Mr. <br />Knittel explained the situation to the Council after which Councilman Weymouth moved to grant the var- <br />iance (MINUTE ORDER #60-31), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />4 i <br />
