421 <br />County of San Mateo resolution requesting cancellation of City taxes on certain real property listed as <br />follows: <br />Parcel 1 - Bartole; portion of Lots 1 and 2, Block 6s Range E of the Town of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 2 - Nieri: portion of Lots 1 and 21 Block 6, Range E of the Town of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 3 - Bullock; portion of Lots 1 and 21 Block 4, Range D of the Town of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 4 - Patterson; portion of Lots 1 and 2, Block 4, Range D of Tarr of Mezesville. <br />i+ Parcel 5 - Hamann; portion of Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Range D of the Town of Mezesville• <br />Parcel 6 - Foote; northerly 37 feet of Lot 3, Block 4, Range D of the Town of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 7 - Magner; Lot 4p Block 4, Range D of the Tam of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 8 - McDermith; Lot 8s Block 4, Range D of the Town of Mezesville. <br />Parcel 9 - Heiry; portion of Lots 11 and 12, Block 49 Range D of the Tar of Mezesville. <br />These parcels are County property behind the Court House. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to grant the cancellation as requested subject to the approval of the City <br />Attorney (MINUTE CR.DER #60-65)., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3006 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $6,000 FROM WATER FUND <br />ADDITIONS AND BETTERMENTS ACCOUNT TO WATER FUND RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTIONS ACCOUNT; TRANSFERRING $260 <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND FALSE ARREST INSURANCE ACCOUNT TO THE GENERAL FUND ACCOUNTS FOR VALUABLE PAPERS <br />INSURANCE, MARINE EQUIPMENT INSURANCE AND FIRE INSURANCE; AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $200 FROM THE <br />UNBUDGETED,UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE CF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE SHOP MOTOR VEHICLE ACCOUNT, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Councilman Herkner moved that an appropriate placque be installed at the foot of the tree presented today, <br />Arbor Day, by the Native Daughters of the Golden West 4onoring Ralph Dodge (MINUTE ORDER #60-66), <br />OM <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth asked that the City Attorney be authorized to include variances, zoning, etc. as well <br />as use permits in setting up the restricted time limits 3m appeals. The City Attorney reported that <br />this is covered under the proposed new zoning ordinance. <br />Councilman Herkner left the meeting at 9=21 p. m. <br />REQUEST FOR ABANDONMENT CF THE 10 FOOT ALLEY WALKWAY THROUGH BLOCK 2, REDWOOD TERRACE NO. 1, TRUMAN STREET <br />TO FAIRVIEW AVENUE. It was recommended that this walkway and the one between Truman Street and Carson <br />Street in the adjacent block be retained by the City as a public walkways, and that they be eventually <br />improved with concrete sidewalk. The improvement of each would be approximately $1,250. This matter <br />was referred to the Planning Commission at the meeting of February 23rd when they unanimously reaf- <br />firmed their previous requirement that the 10 foot alley walkway must remain. The Planning Commission <br />also requested that the walkway be improved by the City. Councilman Spillers moved to deny the request <br />�*• and the matter tof sidewalks be reviewed by budget time (MINUTE ORDER #60-67), seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried. <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED PROPERTY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AT 3234 JEFFERSON AVENUE IN CONNECTION WITH JEFFERSON AVENUE <br />IMPROVEMENTS (corner Altamont and Jefferson Avenue), Achille and Bruna Bianchini. Councilman Granger <br />moved to deny and refer the claim to the contractor and City insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-68), <br />seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Request permission to advertise for bids for automotive equipment, Street Maintenance Department, Paint <br />Departments Engineering Departments Water Department and Fire Department. Councilman Weymouth moved <br />adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3007 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEW VEHICLES; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THERBMs seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call, <br />Councilman Herkner being noted absent. <br />
