4-52 <br />CONTINUATION CF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. Councilman Fields moved to continue the public hearing <br />to April 25th, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON EDGENOOD ANNEXATION 1-A. The public hearing was declared open and the affidavits of mailing <br />and publication were ordered filed. There were no written protests. Lillie Phillips, 707 West California <br />Way, owner of Lot 33, Block 605, addressed the Council. Councilman Royer moved that the public hearing <br />be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3050 CF THE COUNCIL (F THE CITY CF REDWOOD CITY FINDING <br />AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOCD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED <br />TERRITCRY DESIGNATED AS NEDGEWOOD ANNEXATION N0. 1-A" HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY ONNERSOF ONE-HALF OF THE VALUE CF <br />PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITCRY AS SHOWN BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL,. NOR BY THE OWNERS OF <br />ONE-HALF CF THE VALUE OF PUBLICLY OWNED PROPERTY WITHIN SAID TERRITORY AS DETERMINED BY SAID COUNCIL, seconded <br />by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Rossellis Royer and Mayor <br />Weymouth voting yes and Councilman Stehle abstaining because he was not familiar with the procedure. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 600.113 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 600 to REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTI <br />IN THE VICINITY OF OLD BAYSHORE HIGHWAY FROM "M" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO"IP-20't INDUSTRIAL PARK DISTRICT, <br />seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Royer and <br />Mayor Weymouth voting yes, Councilman Rosselli voting no and Councilman Stehle abstaining because he was not <br />present at the public hearing. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 3051 APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM BROADWAY STREET LIGHTING, <br />SEconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilmen F fields, Granger, Herkner, Rosselli, R oyerp <br />and Mayor Weymouth voting yes and Councilman Stehle abstaining because he was not present at the time of the <br />public hearing. <br />APPLICATIO14 FOR PERMIT TO CONDUCT PUBLIC LAUNDRY. Mr. Johh A. McCargar wishes to operate a non-attendent 22 washer <br />and 8 dryer laundry at 826 Main Street. The Water Department reports that the water service is not adequate <br />and the permit should be subject to installation of larger water service at applicant's expense. The Planning <br />Commission approved a use permit on April 12th subject to adequate outdoor lighting at the rear of the build- <br />ing. 1 r. McCargar was present and agreed to all the conditions. Councilman Royer abstained from voting be- <br />cause he had an interest in the property. Councilman.Fields moved to grant the permit subject to the conditions <br />stated above (MINUTE ORDER #60-113), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried, Councilman Royer abstaining. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF FINAL MAP OF MASARIE TRACT. The City Engineer has certified.the tracing and recommended to the Plan- <br />ning Commission the approval of the Final Map,of Masarie Tract. The City Planning Commission at its regular <br />meeting on April 12, 1960, unanimously passed a motion -recommending the City Council approve said map. No <br />subdivision agreement, performance bond or issuance certificates_ will be required as no additional improve- <br />ments are necessary. Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3052 APPROVING AND ACCEPTING FINAL <br />"4 <br />MAP OF MASARIE TRACT, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA,, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on <br />roll call. <br />Councilman Royer moved that the resolution approving plans and specifications and authorizing call for bids for <br />police boat and transfer of $3,000 from Capital Projects Fund be carried on the agenda for one week, seconded <br />by Cotu)c iLian Rosselli. The Council requested additional facts and data from the Police Chief.- Motion carried. <br />Item 12 was taken off the agenda. <br />REQUEST FOR LETTER REQUESTING COUNTY TO CONSIDER INCLUDING REDWOOD CREEK IN THEIR DRAINAGE AREA. Councilman Herkner <br />asked that the City Attorney and City Manager give the Council the proper steps to follow in the forming of a <br />drainage district as it is very important. This was followed by discussion. The City Attorney stated that <br />this was the first step in the f orming of the district. Councilnan Royer moved to continue the matter for <br />one week, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />
