<br />M. C. Brockway of the Peninsula Commuters Club expressed their appreciation for a job well done and
<br />expressed their sincere thanks for the filling of holes and the painting of new white parking lines
<br />in the commuter's parking lot in the rear of the SP station.
<br />Golden Gate Authority Commission confirmed by letter the arrangements made earlier for the public hear-
<br />ing to be conducted in Redwood City on Thursday, April 21, 1960, for the purpose of discussing the sub -
<br />6W ject matter outlined in the public notice. Councilman Herkner and Mayor Weymouth stated that they
<br />would attend the hearing.
<br />Claims 32414 through 32581, totaling $113,801.99, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Royer., seconded
<br />by Councilman Fields and carried.

<br />Redwood City Council
<br />April 25, 19602 8:00 P. M.
<br />Invocation was led by Reverend H. George Vorsheim, Woodside-Portola Presbyterian Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, John S.
<br />Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold Co Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen C. Moore.
<br />Councilman Sidney D. Herkner was absent because he was attending a Red Cross meeting in San Francisco.
<br />Also noted present were City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, Police
<br />Chief William Faulstich, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini, Traffic
<br />Engineer Arthur U. Eskelin, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Fire Chief
<br />J. L. Lodi, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Associate Engineer William Martin and Deputy City Clerk
<br />Vivian Rifbjerg.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of April 18, 1960s as mailed, seconded by Councilman
<br />Fields and carried.
<br />Mayor Weymouth presented a p3.acque to former Councilman Robert V. Spillers honoring his twelve years as a
<br />City Councilman, 1948-60.
<br />The Mayor presented former Mayor Royer with a gift from the Council in honor of his four years as Mayor.
<br />The gift was an inscribed 8 day gold clock with his terms of office as Mayor listed as well as the
<br />names of the Councilmen. Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3053 COMMENDING WILLIAM
<br />H. ROYER FOR HIS TWO TERMS AS MAYOR CF THE CITY CF REDWOOD CITY, Seconded by Councilman Fields and
<br />�,,... carried on roll call with Councilmen gields, Granger, Rosselli, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting yes,
<br />Councilman Royer abstaining and Councilman Herkner being noted absent.
<br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. Councilman Fields moved that the public hearing be
<br />continued to May 2nd, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON JEFFERSON AVENUE WIDENING IMPROVEMENTS. The public hearing was declared open and the af-
<br />fidavits of posting, publication and mailing were ordered filed. Venerree W. Wright, 556 - 7th Avenue,
<br />San Bruno owner of Lot 3, Block 10 Highlands of Emerald Lake submitted a letter
<br />� s � , protesting the ex-
<br />tent of the slope of her property. Councilman Rosselli moved to refer this :Letter to the City Manager
<br />for investigation, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Alyce Jones, 640 Coleman$ Menlo Park,
<br />owner of property located at 3500 Highland Avenue, protested verbally to the amount of her assessment
<br />(Assessment #2, $1,822.00). There being no further protests, Councilman Royer moved that the public
