The contractor for -the Jefferson Avenue widening improvements has completed all work in accordance with plans and specifications for the project. The City Engineer recommended that the improvements be acceptwd subject to correction of any defects in materials and workmanship which might appear within one year from date of acceptance by the City Council and subject to payment of all accounts owed the City, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Fields abstaining. ..,..+ Tom Jones, representing the Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee, addressed the Council and offered to donate 100 decorative concrete aggregate tubs, 40" in diameter and 18M deep, to be used to plant 100 trees from El Camino Real to Main Street on both sides Broadway. In return for the tubs, they asked that the City install the trees and maintain them.
