<br />The Mayor asked for any constructive ideas that the people in the audience thought the Council could use.
<br />This was followed by general discussion with the following people asking questions or offering suggestions:

<br />Smith, Paul Tessendorf, Joseph Phelon, Bob Bury, Paul Brinkman., Steven Ross, Dave Marsh, Mrs. Reimer,
<br />Bernard Rading, Joe Dingman, Alice Rankine, Al Pasero, Mr. Tuxford and Gordon Seely.
<br />Councilman Fields appeared at the meeting at 9.45 P. m.
<br />Since Councilmen Royer and Rosselli had both left the meeting earlier in the evening, Mayor Weymouth thanked
<br />the people for coming and stating their view and said that the Council had not reached any conclusion at
<br />this time.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. Meet-
<br />ing adjourned., 10:07 p. m.

<br />Invocation was led by Reverend John Fast, Free Methodist Church.
<br />ON ROSS, CALL the following were noted present. Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,
<br />John S. Rosselli, William H. Rayer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth, and City Clerk Helen Moore.
<br />Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Police Chief William Faulstich,
<br />Building Inspector S. H. Kreisss Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Park Superin-
<br />tendent Pasco Balzarini, Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, Recreation Director Alfred Morton, Water Superin-
<br />tendent H. L. Winter, Traffic Engineer Arthur U. Eskelin, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, and Deputy City Clerk Vivian

<br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minute s of May 2nd and May 5th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Royer,
<br />Councilman Fields asked that the minutes of May 5th show that he appeared at the meeting at 9:45 pe m*
<br />coming in from Stockton. Motion carried.
<br />Continuation of public hearing on Leslie Annexation 2-B. Councilman Granger moved to continue the public hearing
<br />to gay 16th, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON REGENT STREET EXTENSION IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT. The public hearing was declared open and the
<br />affidavits of posting and publication were ordered filed. There were no written protests. Theo Fellow,
<br />1346 Regent Street, and Robert Dickey, 1355 Regent Street, both addressed the Council and asked questions
<br />about the district. The City Engineer informed the Council that the petition filed a year ago had approxi-
<br />mately 63% of the property owners signatures. Councilman Herkner moved that the public hearing be closed,
<br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.
<br />Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3071 BEING THE RESOLUTION CF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NEC-
<br />ESSITY, REGENT STREET EXTENSION, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO, 3072 BEIM THE RESOLUTION CF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT
<br />CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS REGENT STREET EXTENSION, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously
<br />on roll call.
<br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESCLUTION NO. 3073 BEING THE RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL CF
<br />ENGINEERIS REPORT REGENT STREET EXTENSION, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll
<br />call.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3074 APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE CF HEARING PROTESTS
