<br />Peninsula Celebration Association withdrew its offer to donate a fifteen acre site and a portion of the
<br />construction costs to the City of Redwood City since the Council would be unable, in good conscience, to
<br />proceed with the municipal auditorium contrary- to the expressed wishes of the voters of the city. Council-
<br />man Fields moved to authorise the City Manager to respond to the PCA acknowledging their letter withdraw-
<br />ing their offer (MINUTE ORDER #60-135), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.

<br />Councilman Rosselli reported on his, Councilman Herknerts and Assemblyman Britschgils visit to Sacramento on
<br />the matter of the feasibility report with regard to the Marina. It was his opinion that the City will get
<br />the $300,000 about the middle of June. There is anew staff studying the matter. The City Attorney re-
<br />ported that there have been three staffs working on this since the City first submitted their application.
<br />Claims 32648 through 32860, totaling $53,063.80, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Fields, seconded by ..�

<br />Councilman Fields asked that the minutes of May 16th be corrected to show that Councilman Herkner attended the
<br />meeting of the Marina in Sacramento with Councilman Rosselli and Assemblyman Britschgi, Councilman Fields
<br />moved approval of the minutes of May 16th as mailed with the correction noted above, seconded by Councilman
<br />Stehle and carried.
<br />The Clerk administered the Loyalty Oath to Henry P. Tarratt, member of the Board of Review. The Mayor then pre-
<br />sented Mr. Tarratt with his "certificate of appointment."

<br />The Clerk read the report of the Planning Commission, the report of the Police Department.and a petition with
<br />28 signatures protesting the granting of the use permit.. George Dahl, attorney representing the property
<br />owners in theadjoining area, protested the granting of the use permit and stated the reasons for the protest. ••�
<br />H. Be Roddengy, representing Scampoline.. Inc., spoke in favor of the trampoline. Irene Carter, 6 Poplar
<br />Avenue and Mrs. Hernandez, 104 Redwood Avenue, protested the granting of the use permit. Dino Pardini and::
<br />Ronald Phillips spoke in favor of the permit. Councilman Herkner moved that the public hearing be closed,
<br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.
