<br />VARIANCES, APPLICATIONS FOR USE PERMITS AND PETITIONS FOR AMENDMENTS MAY BE RECONSIDERED, seconded by Coun-
<br />cilman Stehle• Mr. Chester Lebseck asked that this ordinance not be adopted and stated his reasons for the
<br />request. Councilmen Rosselli and Royer abstained from voting because they, were not present at the time of
<br />the public hearing. The motion carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Herkner, Stehle and Mayor
<br />Weymouth voting yes, Councilman Granger voting no and Councilmen Rosselli and Royer abstaining. The affidavit
<br />of publication was ordered filed.
<br />Report by Sergeant T. M. Cole, Jr. regarding the Delinquency Control Institute he attended in Los Angeles from
<br />February 22nd through May 13thq 1960., Sergeant Cole reported that the City had contributed $4000 toward
<br />his schooling. He received a scholarship in the amount of $375.00 from the Farmers Insurance Grwpp and
<br />$250.00 from the American Legion Child Welfare Fund. His expenses were as follows:

<br />APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT TO CONDUCT A CLOSE OUT SAIF, CURRIE FURNITURE COMPANY, 2426 E1 Camino Real. All of the
<br />requirements of the ordinance have been complied with. Councilman Fields moved to grant the permit (MINUTE
<br />ORDER #60-147), seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.
