0 <br />P <br />L <br />I'$ <br />473 <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3094 AUTHORIZING IMPROVEMENT OF A PUBLIC ALLEY AND RIGHT <br />OF WAY IN BLOCK 6, BELLE HAVEN SUBDIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT, see- <br />onded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3095 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION (F GRANT'MM 'OF A,POLE AND <br />OVERHEAD LINE EASEMENT TO PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY IN PROPERTY IN THE VICINITY OF MARSHALL <br />STREET, BROADWAY AND REDWOOD CREEK, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unani ausly on roll call* <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO., 3096 ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREE- <br />MENT FOR EXPENDITURE CF GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS, seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Resolution from the Planning Commission declaring its intention not to extend Norman Street to Palm Avenue. <br />On the recommendation of the City Attorney that no Council action was necessary, Councilman Granger <br />moved to drop the matter from the agenda, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />Application for exception to Subdivision Ordinance by WILLIAM P. AND RUTH P. GARRISON to resubdivide Lot 27, <br />of Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery Subdivision, into two lots. The Garrisons want to subdivide Lot 27 <br />into two lots, one with 20' frontage to gain access to rear lot of Parcel B, located at 1816 Roosevelt <br />Avenue near Ruby Street in an R-2 District. The Planning Commission requests permission from the City <br />Council to grant exception to the Subdivision Ordinance and approve the subdivision subject to: <br />1. Due to the fact that nothing but rear yards surround the lot, only a single story structure be <br />constructed including no split level construction. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved that the building be a single family dwelling only. This motion lost for <br />lack of a second. Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3097 AUTHORIZING EXCEPTION TO <br />CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 631, BEING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Royer, <br />Stehle and Weymouth voting yes, and Councilman Rosselli voting no. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3098 GRANTING CONSENT OF CITY CF REDWOOD CITY TO THE <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO UNDERTAKE AND COMPLETE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENTS ON PORTIONS OF BAY ROAD AND SPRING STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND TO PROVIDE THAT <br />THE COST THEREOF SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT BENEFITED THEREBY PURSUANT TO APPROPRI- <br />ATE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously <br />on roll call. <br />R. D. Siff ord and Amanda Berger petition to rezone from R-1 District, Single Family Residential, to C -N or <br />C -1-H District, portions of Lots 3, 4 and 6 in Block 9, Kensington Square located at the southwest <br />corner of Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas. Councilman Rosselli moved to set the matter for <br />public hearing on June 20th (MINUTE ORDER #60-148)., seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Planning Commission's recommendation on the resolution of intention of the Council to rezone "Coonan prop- <br />erty" from "U", Unclassified District to R-1 District in the vicinity of Goodwin Avenue and Mitchell <br />Way. Councilman Herkner moved to set the matter for public hearing on June 20th (MINUTE ORDER #60-149), <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />_Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an ordinance creating a special fund for monies received as ind- <br />. emnity, reimbursement or settlement for the loss or damage of City property, and appropriating said <br />monies for the repair or replacement of the property for which such monies were received, seconded by <br />Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Foster and Kleiser request for permission to ERECT A PUBLIC SERVICE POSTER PANEL ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY. <br />The poster panel would be used solely for advertising public service activities. After discussion, <br />Councilman Royer moved to uphold the Planning Commission's recommendation to approve a public service <br />sign at Main and Buckeye Streets and, grant the permit subject to the "Memorandum of Agreement on Public <br />
