<br />758, being the Redwood City Traffic Ordinance, as adopted February 1, 1954, to provide
<br />for parking restrictions on Broadway in the vicinity of Douglas Avenue, seconded by
<br />Councilman Herkner and carried.

<br />fir. Councilman Granger moved introduction of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City, Calif-
<br />ornia, regulating the installation, erection, moving, altering, replacing, improving,
<br />suspension, and/or maintenance of all signs and advertising structures; providing
<br />for issuance of permits and the fixing of fees therefor; providing a penalty for the
<br />violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
<br />with this ordinance, seconded by Councilman Resselli and carried.
<br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3117 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $100 FROM
<br />ASSESSOR -AUDITOR SUPPLIES AND SERVICES ACCOUNT TO ASSESSOR -AUDITOR SALARY ACCOUNT,
<br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />REQUEST FOR DRIVEWAY VARIANCE, PENINSULA AMBULANCE SERVICE, 1260 MARSHALL STREET. The
<br />P„ request is for a 4�2 foot variance which Mr. Ratliff feels is vitally important as
<br />i� an access to the required off-street parking called for in his building plans. Council-
<br />man Royer moved to approve the variance, seconded by Councilman Fields. The matter of
<br />a revocable variance was discussed. Councilman Royer amended the motion to grant
<br />•• revocable variance at the will of the Council when the public interest requires

<br />Discussion of the letter from the Association of Bay Area Government. Councilman Granger
<br />moved to table the matter, seconded by Councilman Rosselli. After discussion,
<br />Councilman Granger withdrew his motion and then moved that the proper officials review
<br />the matter and bring back a report listing 10 reasons why they should go along with
