<br />City of Redwood City that this type of organization be investigated, City Manager to
<br />write the letter (MINUTE ORDER #60-156), seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on
<br />roll call, Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Royer and Mayor Weymouth voting yes and
<br />Councilmen Rosselli and Stehle voting no.
<br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3118 AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF REVOCABLE
<br />PERMIT TO METROPOLITAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION (Foster and Kleiser, Division of M.B.C.,
<br />for the erection of a public service poster panel on City owned property), seconded by
<br />Councilman Royer and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Herkner, Rosselli, Royer,
<br />Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting yes and Councilman Granger voting -no because no indication
<br />was given that the signs were free.
<br />Item #11, appointment to the Planning Commission, was removed from the agenda.
<br />Claim for alleged personal injury to minor, Janice Karen Miller, Councilman Fields moved
<br />that the claim be denied and referred to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-157),
<br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. ..ter+
<br />Councilman Royer moved that the City Manager write a letter to all the other taxing agencies
<br />telling them what the Council has done to reduce the tax rate and ask them to do their
<br />best toward economy (MINUTE ORDER #60-158), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />A. P. Patten, Chairman Library Board of Trustees, announced to the Council that they have
<br />unanimously selected Karl A. Vollmayer to be Head Librarian beginning August 1st.
<br />Councilman Royer moved to instruct the City Attorney to prepare the necessary resolution
<br />congratulating Muriel Merman on her retirement from the City as Head Librarian (MINUTE
<br />ORDER #60-159), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
<br />The City Manager reminded the Council of the Street Light Ceremony to take place on the
<br />Court House steps, Thursday, June 23rd, at 9:00 p.m. ,,.J
<br />Councilman Royer moved to grant Councilman Stehle permission to leave the State for his vacation
