Councilman Royer moved that this matter be set for public hearing on July 11th, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3131 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR A NEW POLICE CAR; AND, AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Stehle being noted absent. 04 Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3132 TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $125 FROM THE CITY MANAGER CAPITAL OUTLAY ACCOUNT TO THE CITY MANAGER SUPPLIES AND SERVICES ACCOUNT AND THE CITY MANAGER MOTOR VEHICLE ACCOUNT AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $500 FROM THE UNBUDGETED UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO POLICE DEPARTMENT MOTOR VEHICLE ACCOUNT, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Stehle being noted absent. APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION. Councilman Rosselli offered the name of Merritt Snyder, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Councilman Granger offered the name of Gerald Bedbury, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. The Clerk administered the loyalty oath to Merritt Snyder and words of congratulation were extended by the Mayor. Mr. Snyder will receive his certificate of appointment at a later date. CLAIM FOR ALLEGED DAMAGES, ROBERT C. AND ELSIE BIDDLE, 250 Upland Road. Councilman Fields moved that the claim be denied and referred to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-160), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3133 GRANTING REVOCABLE PERMISSION TO THE OWNER OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO UTILIZE A PORTION OF PUBLIC PARKING LOT NO. 4 FOR INGRESS AND EGRESS TO MIDDLEFIELD ROAD (Paul A. McCarthy), seconded by Councilman Fields. Councilman Granger moved adoption of this resolution with the stipulation that the document be recorded and a letter approving the permit is on file from the Parking District Attorney. The motion carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Stehle being noted absent. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3134 URGING BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO PROCEED WITH THE EXTENSION OF RDGEWOOD ROAD WESTERLY FROM ITS PRESENT TERMINUS TO STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE NO. 1, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Stehle being noted absent. COMMUNICATIONS; Report from the Police Chief regarding the closing of Broadway from Jefferson Avenue to Winslow Street on Thrusday, July 14, 1960, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for "SIDEWALK DAYS".
