Councilman Royer moved that the Council go on record opposing AB --2755, truck routes (MINUTE ORDER #60-162), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Councilman Royer moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Meeting adjourned, 9:52 p.m. Helen C. Moore, City Clerk r Minutes of the Regular Meeting Redwood City Council July 11, 1960, 8:00 P.M. The Clerk called the meeting to order and asked for nominations for Mayor pro -tem for the evening due to the absence of Mayor Weymouth. Councilman Royer moved that Councilman Granger be Mayor pro -tem, seconded by Councilman Herkner. Councilman Rosselli moved that the nominations be closed and a white ballot cast for Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. Invocation was led by Reverend Howard McConnel, Woodside Village Church. ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Sidney D. Herkner, John S. Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor pro -tem Floyd D. Granger and City LM Clerk Helen C. Moore. Councilman Ron W. Fields and Mayor Ray Weymouth were noted absent. Also present were City Attorney Robert J. Costello, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Chief William Faulstich, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of June 27th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. The Mayor pro -tem asked the City Attorney to make his report on the suit filed by S & Q Construction Company. Mr. Costello reported that the City won the judgement and the contract has been executed by the successful bidder. He also reported on the law rn" suits filed bn the Leslie Annexations. The City won the judgement and is now eligible Lto collect the taxes on these annexations effective this year. Both of these judge- ments have a 60 day appeal period. Councilman Herkner moved to commend the City Attorney and his staff for their fine work (MINUTE ORDER #60-163), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Fields and Mayor Weymouth being noted absent. Report of Chamber of Commerce Sign Committee was received by the Council and the Mayor pro - tem appointed a council committee to meet with the Chamber of Commerce Committee. Those appointed were Councilmen Rosselli, chairman, Herkner and Stehle.
