`0 <br />The Fourth of July parade trophy won by the City was not ready at the present time for <br />presentation so the matter was taken off the agenda. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. While the prior Redwood City <br />Annexations have been upheld, it was the recommendation of the City Attorney that this <br />hearing be continued to September 19th to permit the time for appeal to expire. At that <br />time the entire matter can be terminated and dropped from the agenda. Councilman <br />Herkner moved to continue the public hearing to September 19th, seconded by Councilman <br />Royer and carried. <br />CONTINUE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO AMEND <br />SECTION 4.2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 600 SO THAT OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR THE EXTENSION OF NORTH- <br />UMBERLAND AND MADRONE STREET from the terminus of Madrone Street to the centerline of <br />Boicelli Avenue and from the present terminus of Northumberland to the proposed extension <br />of Madrone Street may be established. The public hearing was declared open. There <br />being no protests, written or oral, and based upon the recommendation of the Planning <br />Staff, Councilman Royer moved to continue the public hearing to August 1st, seconded by <br />Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON GLENWOOD AVENUE -CANYON ROAD AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS. The public hearing <br />was declared open and the affidavits of posting, publication and mailing were ordered <br />filed. Protest letters from the following property owners were read: Earl R. Tryon, <br />assessment number 37; Gordon Seely and Alyce Jones, assessment numbers 88 and 89; Harry <br />C. Koch, assessment numbers 45 and 46; and Frank R. Aiello, assessment number 44. <br />After discussion, Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded <br />by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3135 CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS AND <br />ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM GLENWOOD AVENUE -CANYON ROAD AND VICINITY, seconded by Councilman <br />Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Fields and Mayor Weymouth <br />being noted absent. Councilman Royer moved to accept the work subject to correction <br />of any defects in materials and workmanship which might appear within one year (MINUTE <br />ORDER #60-164), seconded by Conncilman Herkner and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION OF OLIVER JOHNSON to rezone from R-2 District to R-3 District <br />property located at 1418 and 1442 Gordon Street, consisting of Lot 8, Southeasterly <br />one-half of Lot 6, and the Southeasterly one-half of Lot 2, all in Block D, Woodside <br />Acres Map No. 1. The public hearing was declared open and the affidavits of notice <br />were ordered filed. The Planning Commission recommended the property fronting on <br />existing Gordon Street, Lot 8, Southeasterly one-half of Lot 6 and the southeasterly <br />one-half of Lot 2, all in Block "D", Woodside Acres Map No. 1, to a depth of 124 feet, <br />be rezoned from an R-2, Duplex District, to an R -3-G, Garden Apartment District.
