Establish a relationship with the elementary school district." <br /> (Memo 5/14/79) <br /> �.w� PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION <br /> City Manager Fales advised that if Council decides to add an <br /> �,,,, administrative assistant to the Department of Public Works, it <br /> should appear in the above category. <br /> ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT PR06RAMS pp. 65-73 <br /> OTHER AflMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SERVICES <br /> Administrative Support - In response to question regarding <br /> cost of inembership in the MidPeninsula Study Group, Mayor <br /> Barrett advised the amount is about $150 per year for the one <br /> breakfast the City must provide, <br /> Councilman Leipzig urged all Council members to attend the <br /> monthly meetings of the San Mateo County Council of Mayors <br /> and to participate for the benefit of the comnunity. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the relative merits of inember- <br /> ship in the National League of Cities and the U. S. Congress <br /> of Mayors to which the City no longer belongs. <br /> City Manager Fales noted that the League of California Cities <br /> has opened a Washington, D. C. office and that former Senator <br /> Arlen Gregorio is the League representative there. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> MOTION: Councilman Biagi moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, to <br /> adjourn until 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 1979 in the Board of <br /> !'^""' Supervisors Chambers to continue the Budget Study Session. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> �+ � <br /> Council adjourned at 4:05 p.m. . <br /> JACQUELINE C.
