He <br /> advised that options are available to property <br /> owners to rehabilitate their property now with <br /> low interest loans or to do only the critical <br /> safety work now dnd def�r the rest until the <br /> property is sold. � <br /> In response to request that cldrification be ? <br /> made regarding the deadline for �ouncil de- � <br /> cision, Mr. Schroeter said that the application <br /> must be filed by April 17, but authorization <br /> is needed now to submit the application for <br /> review to ABAG and the State Clearing House <br /> which requires 45-60 days. The application <br /> will come back before final 5ubm�ttal. He <br /> added that the Marks-Foran program is intended <br /> to allow communities to avail themselves of <br /> enough money to do something constructive about <br /> rehabilitation of neighborhoods.
