Report of Special Area Plan Advisory Com- Councilman Biagi, Chairman of the Special Area <br /> mittee re Special Area Plan for the Port Plan Advisory Comnittee to the City Council and <br /> the Bay Conservation and Development Cortmission <br /> presented the subject report. Councilman Biagi <br /> referred to his transmittal letter of January 31, <br /> 1979 and expressed his thanks to the Committee <br /> members and to all of those who worked with them. <br /> Councilman Biagi suggested that the City Council <br /> and Port Comnission should hold a joint meeting <br /> to consider the Study. <br /> M/S: Biagi/Bury that Council take the Special <br /> Area Plan Study for the Waterfront/Port Area <br /> under advisement at this time and that staff be <br /> directed to set up a joint meeting with the Port <br /> Comnission to consider it. <br /> � <br /> Fred DiPietro, Port Manager, urged that the <br /> � jo�nt—` meeting be held as soon as possible and <br /> suggested Monday, March 26. Mr. DiPietro ob- <br /> served that recomnendations should be made to <br /> BCDC soon. He advised they will receive the <br /> sub�ect report. <br /> Mayor Barrett asked City Manager Fales to invite <br /> the City's area representatives to BCDC and MTC <br /> to the joint meeting, as well as any others who <br /> might have an interest in seeing the Port and <br /> waterfront areas.
