(continued) City Attorney Schricker stated for the record that use of the Veterans Building is restricted under the legislation under which it was es- tablished and that nothing stated this evening appears to be inconsistent with that use. Report of Special Area Plan Advisory Com- Councilman Biagi, Chairman of the Special Area mittee re Special Area Plan for the Port Plan Advisory Comnittee to the City Council and the Bay Conservation and Development Cortmission presented the subject report. Councilman Biagi referred to his transmittal letter of January 31, 1979 and expressed his thanks to the Committee members and to all of those who worked with them. Councilman Biagi suggested that the City Council and Port Comnission should hold a joint meeting to consider the Study. M/S: Biagi/Bury that Council take the Special Area Plan Study for the Waterfront/Port Area under advisement at this time and that staff be directed to set up a joint meeting with the Port Comnission to consider it. � Fred DiPietro, Port Manager, urged that the � jo�nt—` meeting be held as soon as possible and suggested Monday, March 26. Mr. DiPietro ob- served that recomnendations should be made to BCDC soon. He advised they will receive the sub�ect report. Mayor Barrett asked City Manager Fales to invite the City's area representatives to BCDC and MTC to the joint meeting, as well as any others who might have an interest in seeing the Port and waterfront areas.
