Resolution No , 7098 Transferring $20 , 000 from Appropriation for General Fund Account , Budgeted Reserves , Supplies and Other Services , to the General Fund Account , Community Center , Supplies and Other Services , Department of City Manager The resolutions were adopted unanimously by roll call vote . Award of Bid - Furnishings for Fair Oaks Community Center child care facility City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 21 regarding furniture and supplies for the Fair Oaks Community Center and recommending bid awards as follows : Robert Morrison Co . - $6 , 566 . 98 • Sears , Roebuck Co . - $789 . 32 ; Lakeshore - $85 . 76 ; and G . W . School Supplies - $ 124 . 74 . In response to question , Mr . Award of Bid - Self -propelled litter vacuum City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 11 regarding award of contract for a self-propelled litter vacuum and recommending the contract be awarded to H . V , Carter Co . , Inc . , Oakland , in the total amount of $3 , 384 . 15 . MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Weymouth introduced the following reso - lution and moved , seconded by Councilman Williams , its adoption : Resolution No . 7100 Awarding contract for the Furnishing of One Self-Propelled Litter Vacuum ; and Rejecting All Other Bids Received The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . Community Progress Report City Manager Fales read his Community Progress Report of January 17 covering com- munity development , the public works project involving catch basin conversion , plans for opening the Fair Oaks Community Center on February 25 with dedication ceremonies planned for March 9, and attaching a report on the 1973 - 74 Capital Im- provement Program . In response to question Mr . Fales advised that factors in the difference between the budgeted amount of $20 , 000 for renovation of the police building and the new estimate of $ 60 , 000 involved increased costs and problems attributable to the age and initial construction of the building , such as plumbing , wiring and heating . Mr . Fales stated that reevaluation of the project will be necessary . In response to further question , Director of Public Works Pusich advised that with regard to the storm drain project in the Cordilleras Creek area , he has met with the representative of San Carlos . Mr . Pusich stated that an Environmental Impact Report is being prepared and after it has been received , a meeting will be set for Redwood City property owners , probably at the end of February . Consent Calendar Councilman Norris announced the annual dinner meeting of the Regional Planning Com- mission will be held on Thursday , January 24 . Councilman Rhodes requested permis - sion to attend that meeting . Councilman Henderson announced that the City Council Legislative Committee will meet at 4 : 00 p . m . , Tuesday , January 22 in the City Attorney ' s office . 1/21/74 Reg . Mtg .
