Clay Shank, 5�0 Compass Drive, President of the Redwood ' SF ores Homeowners Association, offered the assistance of his organization in contacting affected homeowners � in order that the storm drain can be constructed as , soon as possible . Mr. Shank stated that Redwood Shores residents would prefer the inconvenience of construction "'"'' � work taking place during the rainy season to waiting until later for commencement of the project. Mr. Shank advised that the Association has prepared warning � stickers for drains to remind residents that the con- dition of Neptune Beach will be adversely affected by , certain debris. (Stickers were distributed later) Ron MacQuarrie, 558 Keelson Circle, urged that the ; s orm ra n pro�ect be commenced now and suggested the , rainy season would not greatly affect construction of a water project. Discussion followed concerning the serious problems foreseen by Mr. Pusich if the project is commenced now; ° the desires of the affected homeowners; the problems which might be anticipated elsewhere in Redwood City ' if some residents are to be consulted with regard to engineering decisions which affect the entire community; and the difficulties to be surmounted if the pro�ect is to commence ahead of schedule. ; In response to question, Mr. Pusich stated that he ""`� wishes to avoid creating new problems with short term ; solutions, that he would like more contact with the �. people involved, and tha,t he must have a delivery schedule of the needed materials before proceeding. MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Norris in- troduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Henderson, its adoption : . RESOLUTION N0. 7239 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING C I N F REE ENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR NEPTUNE BEACH STORM DRAIN The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote. In response to inquiry as to when the pro�ect is ex- pected to be commenced, Mr. Pusich advised construction will proceed in accordance with the schedule contained � in his report of August 5, 197� as far as possible . � s Mayor Weymouth requested a copy of Mr. Smith 's report ! of August 8 attaching Mr. Pusich ' s report be sent to the � Redwood Shores Homeowners Association.
