Approval of Minutes - February 4, 1974 <br /> MOTION: Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , approval of the <br /> Minutes of February 4 , 1974 as submitted . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote with Councilmen Leipzig and Norris <br /> abstaining . <br /> ABAG Report <br /> Vice Mayor Henderson , Council delegate to the Association of Bay Area Governments , <br /> referred to her report of February 21 containing recommendations on matters to <br /> come before the Annual General Assembly on February 21 , 1974 . Vice Mayor Henderson <br /> announced that City Manager Fales will be a featured speaker on " Energy Needs -- A <br /> New Criterion for Planning " and urged all Council members to attend . <br /> MOTION : Councilman Leipzig moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , to accept the <br /> report of the ABAG delegate and to authorize the delegate to vote according to the <br /> recommendations contained in her report of February 21 , 1974 . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . ( MINUTE ORDER #74-26 ) <br /> Approval of Final Map , Challenge Developments , Inc , <br /> ( 1647 Kentfield Avenue and 1650 Union Avenue ) <br /> Planning Director Schroeter advised that the Final Map for the subject subdivision <br /> conforms with the Tentative Map approved on October 16 , 1973 by the Planning <br /> Commission , with the exceptions authorized by the City Council on November 5 , 1973 . <br /> MOTION: Title having been read, Councilman Norris introduced the following resolu- <br /> tion and moved , seconded by Councilman Leipzig , its adoption : <br /> Resolution No . 7118 Approving and Accepting Final Map of Kentfield Towne <br /> Homes Subdivision, Redwood City, California, Subject to Certain Conditions ; <br /> Approving and Adopting Plans and Specifications for Improvement Thereof ; <br /> and Approving and Authorizing Execution of Agreement for the Construction <br /> of Improvements for Said Subdivision <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of February 7 requesting authorization to <br /> file an application for Transportation Development Act funds with the Metropolitan <br /> Transportation Commission . <br /> MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Leipzig introduced the following <br /> resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Norris , its adoption : <br /> Resolution No . 7119 Authorizing and Directing Filing of Application with <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission for Disbursement of Funds for <br /> Transportation Requirement of Redwood City Municipal Transit System <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> Belmont County Water District Agreement <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of February 7 attaching the report of the <br /> Director of Public Works regarding the Belmont County Water District Agreement . <br /> Mr . Fales and Director of Public Works Pusich responded to questions regarding the <br /> need for reworking the meter installation in G . I . D . 1-64 , stating that the original <br /> installation was not the full permanent installation needed , and the station must <br /> be upgraded . <br /> In response to further question, Planning Director Schroeter advised that all of <br /> the environmental impact reports related to Redwood Shores are expected during <br /> February . <br /> Ron MacQuarrie , President of the Redwood Shores Homeowners Association , suggested <br /> that the upgrading of the meter installation might be a maintenance charge upon the <br /> City rather than a charge to G . I . D . 1_64 . Mr . MacQuarrie also observed that Belmont <br /> regards the water supplied to Redwood Shores as surplus and asked whether that <br /> presents any problem . <br /> 2/11/74 <br /> Reg . Mtg . <br />
