361 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> ( a ) Written - Copies submitted to Council . <br /> 1 . Redwood Shores Homeowners Association expressing concern for lack <br /> of landscaping of the traffic circle on Pennant Court and suggest- <br /> ing other recommendations . <br /> Mayor Keckley asked that this be referred to <br /> staff for report back to Council <br /> ( Memo 4/143 ) <br /> ( b ) Oral : <br /> 1 . Pastor Jacqueline Thomshaw , Word of Life Fellowship , thanked <br /> Council for the privilege of delivering the invocations for <br /> April , and indicated she wished to acquaint them with their <br /> church , which was new and located in downtown Redwood City . <br /> Their aim is to help troubled young people , and they are <br /> working with the County Drug Abuse Resource Directory . She <br /> described some of the successes they have had in helping these <br /> people to overcome their drug addiction and assume normal lives , <br /> ( c ) John Milwitt , 29 Clinton Street , indicated he wished to speak with <br /> regard to his damage claim . ( Consent Calendar Ttem ( b ) ) <br /> City Attorney indicated that Council could entertain the request to speak <br /> on the item ; however , in the context of a claim, he cautioned Council <br /> that any response would be inappropriate due to the fact it might <br /> prejudice any judicial proceedings or in the relationship with the <br /> insurance carrier for the City . <br /> Mr . Milwitt spoke at length regarding the <br /> basis for his claim and was critical of the <br /> way employees in various departments dealt <br /> with him . He asked for an appointment with <br /> the City Manager . <br /> City Manager advised that an appointment could be set up , however , he <br /> stated that he would prefer that at the same time , to have any com- <br /> plaints regarding City personnel in writing , including names , dates , <br /> places and actions alleged to have happened , which Mr . Milwitt agreed <br /> to do . ( Memo 4/24/73 ) <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adjourn to an Adjourned Regular Meeting on <br /> May 5 , 1973 , 9 : 00 a . m . , Veterans Memorial Building , 11455 Madison <br /> Avenue , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried .
