380 Councilman Williams moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6904 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF FOUR TRUCKS , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Norris voting no , and Mayor Keckley being noted absent . THE FURNISHING OF TWO TRAILER MOUNTED AIR COMPRESSORS , and RESOLUTION NO . 6906 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE TANDEM ROLLER , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call. vote , Mayor Keckley being noted absent . Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6907 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE AN APPLICATION FOR PROJECT GRANT UNDER TITLE III OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT , seconded by Councilman Leipzig . City Manager briefly summarized his written report to Council , indicating this program began last year when staff was asked to investigate the possibility of obtaining a grant to help fund a senior citizens center . Because of a County- wide study being conducted , the project was delayed , since the County was not considering grant submittals until completion of the study . Now the study was finished , and they had indicated they would entertain submittals for the grants . Motion carried on roll call vote , Mayor Keckley being noted absent . CONSENT CALENDAR : ( a ) Authorization for City Clerk to accept Grant Deed . Subdivision Committee , on January 21 , 1969 , approved the minor subdivision of Richard L . Koral ( Lot. 4 , Block 18 , Oak Knoll Manor ) with a condition that seven feet be dedicated to widen Upland Road . Deed had just been received and Council approval would authorize City Clerk to accept deed for recording , as recommended by staff .
