418 <br /> Council referred Mr . Pflug ' s communication to Staff and requested a report back . <br /> 3 . City of San Carlos , Charles R . Allen , City Administrator , suggesting a joint <br /> effort for the Cities of Redwood City , Belmont and San Carlos to acquire property <br /> from the City and County of San Francisco , commonly known as the Hassler Health <br /> Home . <br /> City Manager felt he should have more direction from Council before spending <br /> too much time on a study . After a brief discussion , Mayor Keckley noted he <br /> would get in touch with Mayor Jenkins . <br /> Councilman Norris moved to accept COMMUNICATIONS and authorize implementation as <br /> directed , seconded by Councilman Rhodes . <br /> ( MINUTE ORDER #73-76 ) <br /> ( b ) Oral <br /> 1 . 1 . Mrs . Emmerich , 436 Clinton Street , Redwood City , spoke of the traffic <br /> problem with the school children and their bikes . She suggested a <br /> green painted line for them to ride in instead of the middle of the <br /> street , which created a traffic problem . This area is in the vicinity <br /> of several schools . <br /> 2 . Mrs . John Sisich , 21 Inyo Place , Redwood City, spoke on the same <br /> subject , stating that she lived near the Woodside High School and <br /> that the problem of the bicycle riders going five abreast against the <br /> traffic had been a continuing problem for the past couple of years . <br /> She mentioned having talked with the school principals of the various <br /> schools , County Sheriff ' s Office , and various police stations , hoping <br /> to get some assistance in curbing the problem . <br /> Chief of Police McDonald suggested making an appointment with Mrs . <br /> Emmerich and Mrs . Sisich and he assured them that they would be able <br /> to come up with a solution . <br /> ( Memo 6/7/73 ) <br /> 3 . Dave Ransom, 590 Chestnut Street #6 , Redwood City, expressed his <br /> feelings on the need for a neighborhood park in the Middlefield- <br /> Chestnut area . He noted several areas that might be utilized in this <br /> respect . <br /> 4 . Stella Munoz , 905 Stambaugh Street , Redwood City, spoke on the same <br /> subject . She expressed the results of her research , which showed , <br /> also , that the older people in that area would appreciate having a <br /> park to walk through . <br /> 5 . Mr . Wakefield , 903 Stambaugh Street , Redwood City, also commented on <br /> the same subject . He stated even though he lived on a dead- end <br /> 6/4/73 <br /> Reg . Mtg . <br />
