Fales , Jr . , City Attorney David E . Schricker , Assistant City Manager James M . Smith , Chief of Police John R . McDonald , Jr . , Director of Public Works Richard J . Pusich , City Controller Jack Ference , Planning Director Ken. Schroeter , Director of Parks and Recreation Max C . Weeks , Director of Building Maintenance and Transporta- tion Melvin I . Moen , City Librarian Karl Vollmayer , and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . Councilman Norris moved to approve , as submitted , Minutes of Regular Meeting of June 11 , 1973 , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried , Councilman Henderson abstaining because of absence from the meeting . Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as submitted, Minutes of Adjourned Regular. Meeting of June 14 , 1973 , seconded by Councilman Norris and carried . PUBLIC HEARING , BUDGET for Fiscal Year , July 1 , 1973-- June 30 , 1974 , declared open and affidavit of publication ordered filed . City Manager indicated that the Budget presented was as corrected in accordance with changes ordered in Budget Study Session of May 12 , 1973 . He noted that in addition to certain matters previously reported on as informational items , others awaited Council direction . One concerned evaluation of the request by Community Education Center for increase from $1 , 000 from the General Fund , to $12 , 200 . The other related to request from the Peninsula Celebration 6/18/73 Reg . Mtg .
