Addressing himself <br /> to the first suggestion , City Attorney agreed that the suggestion was a good <br /> one , since it would give the Commission , as recommending body , the full story , <br /> and it would also set the policy that an applicant would have to present his <br /> full case at the lower level . <br /> Commissioner Arnold questioned with respect to the Port , whether Commission <br /> should look for industrial development or more toward recreational development . <br /> Mayor Keckley pointed out the autonomy of the Port and that it would be their <br /> decision , rather than Council ' s as to the type of development , if any , that <br /> would take place . He noted also that the Waterfront Committee , which has two <br /> Port Commissioners among its membership , was including consideration of Port <br /> matters in its studies . <br /> Commissioner Arnold agreed that the Port was a great asset to the City , and <br /> felt there should be some direction as to its future . <br /> Mayor Keckley suggested , with concurrence of Council and Commission , that <br /> September 18 , 1973 , at 7 : 00 p . m . , be set for their next joint meeting . <br /> Councilman Norris asked if staff would summarize in time for the next meeting <br /> how the treatment plant facilities are being used up , and the trend . Council - <br /> man Rhodes commented that there were very few single - family lots left in <br /> Redwood City and this should be kept in mind in consideration of priorities with <br /> respect to remaining capacity of the plant . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth and carried .
