Final cost of the project amounted to <br /> $36 , 882 , including addition of automated sprinkler system authorized <br /> by Council . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to accept the improvements , subject to the <br /> one -year guarantee of workmanship and materials , seconded by <br /> Councilman Norris and carried . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #73 -24 ) <br /> AWARD OF BID , PVC Flooring - Recreation Center . <br /> Of the two bids received , Staff recommended award of contract to the <br /> low bidder , Stuart Floor Company , in the amount of $6 , 734 . 00 . Funds <br /> had previously been transferred and made available for the project . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6870 AWARDING CONTRACT <br /> FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF PVC FLOORING AT RED MORTON COMMUNITY <br /> PARK RECREATION CENTER ; AND REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED , seconded <br /> by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Williams <br /> and Mayor Keckley being noted absent . <br /> Planning Department - Planner II ( Environmentalist ) <br /> Approval of an additional employee in the classification of Planner II <br /> was requested by Planning Director for the specific purpose of procedural <br /> responsibilities in preparation of Environmental Impact Reports , in order <br /> not to delay other planning studies now in process toward development of a <br /> General Plan . It would be necessary to transfer funds for additional <br /> salaries in the Planning Department Budget to provide for this employee . <br /> City Manager indicated there would be some revenues accruing as a result <br /> of implementing guidelines for preparation of environmental impact reports <br /> at the previous Council meeting . <br /> 2 /12/73 <br />
