3i 3 <br /> Councilman Norris moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6876 RELATING TO THE- <br /> ACQUISITION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY OVER AND UNDER $2 , 500 FOR EMERGENCY <br /> SERVICE PURPOSES , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried on roll <br /> call vote , <br /> Specifications and Call for Bids , Cement Transit -Mixer Truck . Staff <br /> report indicated that for the small volume of street maintenance and <br /> operations activities performed by City personnel , commercial delivery <br /> for less than six cubic yards requires payment of a large penalty , and <br /> entails loss of ability to schedule specific time for delivery . Current <br /> budget provides allocation of $ 9 , 000 for purchase of a two -yard cement <br /> transit-mixer truck , which will allow personnel to purchase materials <br /> at the batch plant when required , and mix during travel to the job site . <br /> Mixer would prevent materials from setting during transport to further <br /> stops during the day . <br /> Councilman Williams moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6877 APPROVING SPECIFICA - <br /> TIONS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE TRUCK-MOUNT O TRANSIT-MIXER ; AND , AUTHORIZ - <br /> ING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Henderson <br /> and carried on roll call vote . <br /> Proposed agreement with the County of San Mateo to provide for the issuance <br /> of parking permits for juror parking . Staff report recommended that in <br /> order to increase use of City parking facilities and to assist the County <br /> in providing parking for jurors , an agreement had been prepared whereby <br /> City would issue the Jury Commissioner numbered permits , to be issued to <br /> empaneled jurors for use at any 10-hour meter, or the City-owned un- <br /> metered Bradford Street lot . City would bill the County quarterly at the <br /> rate of $7 . 00 per juror per month . Councilman Henderson suggested that <br /> it would be appropriate to have a report back to Council at the end of <br /> the initial quarter .
