Helen Phillips , Chairman , Citizens Interim Park Committee for support of recommendation from Emerald Hills -Redwood City Hillside General Plan for an Interim Park at the Edgewood State College site and requesting to make a presentation to the Council . Recommendation : To defer consideration pending full presentation of General Plan report to Council and Planning Commission . Councilman Leipzig commented that it was hoped City would communicate with this group to let them know Council is still interested . (MINUTE ORDER #73 -37) 2 . San Mateo County Fair Association inviting City to authorize a group or organization to select Miss Redwood City for candidacy in the annual Dream Girl Pageant . Mayor Keckley advised that he had contacted Mr . Gary Doupnik , of Peninsula Celebration Association , which is in charge of Redwood City Pageant , and he suggested City authorize P . C .
