338 2 . " PROBE" Community Center , division of Redwood City Area Council for Community Action , Inc . , requesting representation as Agenda item at Council meeting of April 9th to request City either finance their their existing programs or develop City ' s own programs to meet the needs of the poverty community . Recommendation : Schedule for presentation on Council Agenda April 9th , Councilman Henderson requested addition of communication as follows : 3 . California Traffic Safety Foundation , 564 Market Street , San Francisco , concerning the existence of " tank traps " ( concrete base installations around traffic control devices and electroliers ) in Redwood City , on Veterans Boulevard , and requesting action to remove them . Recommendation : Refer to Staff for report , including indication of schedule for elimination of " tank traps " . Councilman Henderson moved to accept COMMUNICATIONS and authorize implementa- tion of recommendations , seconded by Councilman Williams and carried . ( MINUTE ORDER #73-49 ) Mayor Keckley noted that the local newspaper had printed an article pertaining to the plight of the Navajo Indians in Arizona, and a direct request by Chief Lee Gonnie for aid . They have been snowed in for a number of months , and in need of food , blankets , and funds to purchase feed for their stock . He indicated that Mrs . Fred B . Turner was coordinating the assistance , and that the Western Conference of Teamsters had volunteered two trucks to carry the supplies to a point in Arizona from where they could be airlifted by helicopter to the village . Mayor Keckley urged that publicity be given, and hoped that through service clubs and other groups , citizens would re- spond with contributions and assistance in loading the trucks by the end of this week . Mrs . Turner spoke briefly concerning the appeal . City Manager advised that an account would be set up to receive any contribu- tion of funds payable to Low Mountain Chapter House . Councilman Henderson moved to adjourn at 11 : 25 p .m . to Executive Session for discussion of matters relating to litigation , seconded by Councilman Norris and carried . Regular Meeting reconvened at 11 : 45 p . m. , and was thereafter adjourned on motion of Councilman Henderson , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried . Meeting adjourned at 11 : 46 p . m .
