t . <br /> 465 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> ( a ) Written - copies submitted to Council . <br /> 1 , State Department of Public Works advising of the apportionment <br /> of California ' s Federal TOPICS funds and advising that within <br /> Go days City must provide this Department with a resolution <br /> of intent to obligate the apportionments , <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff for implementation . <br /> Councilman Henderson inquired as to definition of "washed " <br /> dollars and effect on allocations . City Manager replied this <br /> would be included in his report to Council . <br /> 2 , State Department of Public Works , Division of Highways , notice <br /> of intention to relinquish highway right of way in City along <br /> Veterans Boulevard at Whipple Avenue (Road 04 -SM-101-6 , 6 ) and <br /> advising any question, comments , or objections be made through <br /> their District office . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff . <br /> Vice -Mayor Keckley inquired as to whether this included the <br /> barrier on Veterans Boulevard , <br /> City Manager replied that proposals are being made with respect <br /> to completion of interchange facilities , and that this was one <br /> of them . He also mentioned that in his report back. to Council <br /> he would attempt to include information on status of projects <br /> with respect to the State . In response to request by Councilman <br /> Henderson he advised that a better map would be included also . <br /> 3 . Arnold Browning , owner of property at 2066-2070 Broadway , protesting <br /> that tenants had been denied parking and an open entrance to <br /> their businesses , and requesting consideration for a proposal <br /> to resolve . <br /> Recommendation : Refer to Staff . <br /> 4 , Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company advising of "Candidate <br /> Night " to be held in their offices at 910 Marshall Street , <br /> April 6 , 1972 , 7- 9 P . M . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approve COMMUNICATIONS (1 ) through (4 ) and authorize <br /> ' - implementation as directed , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried , <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #72 -76 ) <br /> (b ) Oral - Instruction cards available . <br /> 4-3 -72 <br />
