This date no longer fitted the construction schedule <br /> and San Francisco Water Department had requested completion date be extended <br /> to December 31 , 1972 , Staff recommended approval of the extension . <br /> On the question , Councilman Henderson noted that the installation of the <br /> water line improvements were already started in the Menlo -Atherton area , <br /> and in response to her inquiry , City Manager advised that the water would be <br /> carried from the mountain portion of Hetch -Hetchy to Crystal Springs reservoir . <br /> Councilman Henderson commented that it had been suggested to her that as <br /> the Hetch -Hetchy right of way is being torn up and replaced , Redwood City <br /> should develop hiking trails , noting that the County was developing a County- <br /> wide trail system . She asked that if Council concurred , Staff be requested <br /> to contact the County regarding coordinating the hiking trails , and report <br /> back to Council . Mayor Keckley asked that the matter be referred to City <br /> Manager (Memo 4- 18- 72 ) <br /> Motion to adopt Resolution carried on roll call vote . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6708 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECI- <br /> FICATIONS FOR RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED STREETS ; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK <br /> TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Rhodes . <br /> Plans and specifications had been prepared by Department of Public Works for <br /> resurfacing the following streets : <br /> Hilton Street ( Walnut Street to Chestnut Street ) <br /> Arguello Street (Brewster Avenue to Hopkins Avenue ) <br /> Cassia Street (Hilton Street to Spring Street ) <br /> Elm Street (Hilton Street to Spring Street ) <br /> Beech Street (Hilton Street to Spring Street ) <br /> Cedar Street (Hilton Street to Spring Street ) <br /> Broadway (Maple Street to Woodside Road ) <br /> Edgewood Road ( El Camino Real to Wellesley Crescent ) <br /> Wellesley Crescent ( entire circle ) <br /> Funds were available in the 1971 --72 Street Maintenance budget .
