375 <br /> Mayor Bury asked the Clerk to read his written statement in which it <br /> was announced that he would not be a candidate for re -election to <br /> City Council in the forthcoming Municipal Election of April 11 , 1972 . <br /> Bob Bills , representing Ambassadors of <br /> Redwood City , which he described as an <br /> arm of the Chamber of Commerce , reported <br /> on their group , consisting of 20 members , <br /> and their function , which was to promote <br /> business in Redwood City , promote the <br /> Chamber of Commerce as well as the City . <br /> He indicated Marguerite Leipzig , also <br /> a member , was present with him . He <br /> advised that he had for presentation <br /> to each member of Council a pin in the <br /> form of a small replica of their <br /> Ambassador badge , which he hoped they would <br /> wear with pride . <br /> Juan Hernandez , 1023 Stambaugh , indicated <br /> he would like to inform people on Chestnut <br /> ( concerning the proposal to prohibit left <br /> turns from El Camino Real ) . <br /> Mayor Bury responded that they will be contacted by City <br /> Staff , <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adjourn the meeting , seconded by Councilman <br /> Peterson and carried . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 8 :20 P . Henderson , <br /> Paul C . Keckley , William C . Rhodes , Ray A . Weymouth , James S . Williams , <br /> Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Marian McCrindle . Councilman Herbert <br /> G . Petersen was noted absent . Also noted present were City Manager James <br /> M . Fales , Jr . , City Attorney David E . Schricker , Assistant City Manager <br /> James M . Smith , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Planning Director Ken <br /> Schroeter , City Treasurer -Collector Harriet Drivon , Construction Engineer <br /> William T . Martin , Personnel Director Michael Brock , and Deputy City <br /> Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as submitted , Minutes of Regular Meeting <br /> of January 10 , 1972 , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried ; <br /> Councilman Keckley abstaining , having been absent from the meeting . <br /> 1 - 17-72 <br />
