Andrew Bacigalupi , 3766 Farm Hill Blvd . , felt that agenda items should be
given more publicity, and asked if the City could persuade the newspaper
to publish the agenda on Mondays , and if not , whether City funds could be
budgeted to finance its publication ,
Mayor Keckley advised that the Tribune ( and San Mateo Times ) receives on Friday
the same reports and agenda that go to Council , and the reporters do write up
the articles they feel worthy of publication . Mayor Keckley also relayed a
suggestion from one of the GAP students that if enough interested citizens wrote
the Editor regarding the request this might help .
2 . He described some of the kinds of help
given to those in need by this operation .
Mayor Keckley responded that Council was well-informed on Halfway House and had
taken tours , noting that the problem of funds occurs periodically . He felt this
would be another area where newspaper publicity might be of benefit to raise
money, and suggested Mr . Sears direct some of his comments to the Editor ,
and that the City could perhaps help , but could not do it all .
In response to question by Council , Mr .
