Councilman Weymouth moved to introduce Ordinance of the City of Redwood City <br /> adopting the Final Budget for Fiscal Year July 1. 972 - June 30 , 1973 ; <br /> providing for the appropriation and expend. i_ ture of all sums set forth <br /> in said Budget ; providing for emergency expenditures , transfers , addi - <br /> tional appropriations and cancellation of existing appropriations , <br /> the disposition of unexpended unencumbered moneys in funds at close <br /> of Fiscal Year , amending the disposition of proceeds collected under <br /> Article I , Chapter 32 , of the Redwood City Code ; providing for proposed <br /> amendments regarding certain funds ; adopting the Budgets for General <br /> Improvement Districts No , 1-64 , No . 1 -65 , No . 2 -65 and 3 -65 for the <br /> Fiscal Year July 1 , 197= - June 30 , 1973 ; and , repealing Ordinance No . 1495 , <br /> as amended , and all Ordinances and Resolutions in conflict herewith , <br /> seconded by Councilman Williams and carried , <br /> It was noted by Mayor Keckley at this point that Messrs , Greenwald and <br /> Floyd were present , whereupon they were administered the Oath of Office <br /> by the City Clerk and presented by Mayor Keckley with their Certificates <br /> of Appointment to the Board of Library Trustees and. the Planning <br /> Commission, respectively . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance amending Sections of the <br /> Code relating to the designation and purposes of certain funds therein. <br /> specified , repealing Section 2 . 41 . 2 of said Code relating to the Sales <br /> _ Tax Capital Txpenditure Fund , and providing for the disposition of <br /> unexpended unencumbered monies in said funds , seconded by Councilman <br /> Weymouth and carried . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6739 AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE <br /> OF REAL PROPERTY INTERESTS PROVIDING FOR RELINQUISHMENT OF CERTAIN <br /> ARTESIAN WELL RIGHTS AND ACCEPTANCE OF STORM DRAINAGE EASEMENT (LESLIE <br /> SALT CO . ) , seconded by Councilman Williams . <br /> Leslie Salt Company had requested relinquishment of artesian well <br /> rights granted in 1903 to Redwood City ' s predecessor entitled to <br /> well water utility operations . Additionally , City proposed that in <br /> exchange for the relinquishment of the well rights , a storm drainage <br /> easement be granted to the City for facilities located in the vicinity <br /> of Second Avenue , City Assessor ' s statement fo appraisal verifying <br /> that property exchanges was of equal value was on file , <br /> Councilman Norris referred to memorandum by City Attorney in which three <br /> items were listed , one being relinquishment of artesian well rights , <br /> and inquired as to why the interest and why at this particular time . <br /> City Attorney responded, indicating staff was not privy to negotiations <br /> going on between Leslie and any other parties , but that there was a <br /> 6-19-72 <br /> Reg, Mtg . <br />
