85 COMMUNICATIONS : ( a ) Written - Copies submitted to Council : 1 . Community Education Center , P . O . Box 5382 , Redwood City , requesting inclusion in the Budget of $1 , 000 in support for their program . 2 . Assemblyman John F . Dunlap , 5th District , transmittal of copy of letter from Legislative Counsel expressing opinion that gas tax money allocated to a city may be used to pay additional cost for grates not hazardous to bicycle opera - tion . It was noted that both of the foregoing letters had been considered earlier in the agenda with respect to the Budget . It was suggested that each be responded to . (b ) Oral : Mr . Clay Shank, 540 Compass Circle , questioned whether a timetable had been established for response to questions and recommendations of the Redwood Shores Homeowner ' s Association as presented to Council about a month ago by the Association ' s attorney , Wayne McFadden . City Manager advised it had not and that a response would be made to Council , but no definite date had been set in view of other demands on staff in the past few weeks . Councilman Rhodes entered the name of John J . i3rophy into nomination for the Port Commission . Councilman Williams moved to adjourn the meeting , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried .
