85 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> ( a ) Written - Copies submitted to Council : <br /> 1 . Community Education Center , P . O . Box 5382 , Redwood City , <br /> requesting inclusion in the Budget of $1 , 000 in support <br /> for their program . <br /> 2 . Assemblyman John F . Dunlap , 5th District , transmittal of <br /> copy of letter from Legislative Counsel expressing opinion <br /> that gas tax money allocated to a city may be used to pay <br /> additional cost for grates not hazardous to bicycle opera - <br /> tion . <br /> It was noted that both of the foregoing letters had been considered <br /> earlier in the agenda with respect to the Budget . It was suggested <br /> that each be responded to . <br /> (b ) Oral : <br /> Mr . Clay Shank, 540 Compass Circle , questioned whether <br /> a timetable had been established for response to questions <br /> and recommendations of the Redwood Shores Homeowner ' s <br /> Association as presented to Council about a month ago <br /> by the Association ' s attorney , Wayne McFadden . <br /> City Manager advised it had not and that a response would be made <br /> to Council , but no definite date had been set in view of other <br /> demands on staff in the past few weeks . <br /> Councilman Rhodes entered the name of John J . i3rophy into nomination for <br /> the Port Commission . <br /> Councilman Williams moved to adjourn the meeting , seconded by Councilman <br /> Rhodes and carried .
