384 <br /> with Council then adopting Resolution of Intention to prezone the entire <br /> parcel as had been approved by Local Agency Formation Commission as a <br /> condition for annexation to City . <br /> There being no communications or further oral discussion , public hearing was <br /> closed on motion of Councilman Williams , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and <br /> carried , <br /> Councilman Williams moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60 . 7 . 1 to Ordinance <br /> No . 1130 , the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance , prezoning property in the <br /> vicinity of Atherwood Avenue and Cedarwood Way , seconded by Councilman <br /> Keckley and carried , <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Resolution of Intention to annex territory known as "ATHERWOOD <br /> ANNEXATION NO . 2 " , declared open and affidavits of publication and mailing <br /> ordered filed . <br /> Council ' s Resolution of Intention had been adopted on December 13 , 1971 , setting <br /> public hearing for this date , to annex certain property comprising 3 . 60 acres <br /> of land at the southeast end of Atherwood Avenue . LAFC approved initial <br /> request for annexation made by owners of a portion of the property , Royer- <br /> McCarthy , on condition that adjacent parcel owned by Jules Eichorn be included <br /> in the annexation . Annexation agreement had been signed and was on file in <br /> Clerk ' s office . <br /> Mr . Jules Eichorn , 166 Selby Lane , Menlo <br /> Park advised he was one of the owners of <br /> the property proposed to be annexed , that he <br /> had lived on the property for 25 years and <br /> had all his own facilities so had no need <br /> of City services at this time . He did not <br /> feel he should be forced to annex along with <br /> the adjacent owners , <br /> There being no communications or further discussion , public hearing was <br /> closed on motion of Councilman Weymouth , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and <br /> carried , <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6667 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PROTEST TO THE PROPOSED <br /> ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY <br /> DESIGNATED AS "ATHERWOOD ANNEXATI.ON NO , 2 " HAS NOT BEEN MADE BY OWNERS OF <br /> ONE -HALF OF THE VALUE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY AS SHOWN <br /> BY THE LAST EQUALIZED ASSESSMENT ROLL , NOR BY THE OWNERS OF ONE-HALF OF <br /> THE VALUE OF PUBLICLY OWNED PROPERTY WITHIN SAID TERRITORY AS DETERMINED <br /> BY SAID COUNCIL , seconded by Councilman Williams . <br /> In response to question by Councilman Keckley , City Manager indicated that <br /> the percentage of protest was less than 50% . Motion carried on roll call <br /> vote . <br /> 1 -24 -72 <br />
