PUBLIC HEARING, Weed Abatement Assessments , declared open and affi - davit of publication and posting ordered filed . The charges for the work completed under the weed abatement program have been submitted by the Department of Public Works , showing the cost to each individual parcel . Total to be posted to the County Assessment Roll is $4, 243 , 92 , There being no communications or oral discussion , Councilman Weymouth moved to close the public hearing , seconded by Council- man Rhodes and carried . Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6779 CONFIRMING REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF STROI TS OF WEED ABATEMENT , OVERRULING PROTESTS THERETO AND AUTHORIZING DELIVERY OF REPORT FOR THE ADDITION OF THE ASSESSMENT AMOUNTS TO NEXT REGULAR TAX BILLS AGAINST PARTICULAR PARCELS CONCERNED , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote . PUBLIC HEARING, Abatement of Nuisance , 450 , 456 Main Street , declared open, and affidavit of posting ordered filed . Chief Building Official posted a notice on August 1 , 1972 to abate these dilapi - dated buildings , setting public hearing for this date . One Communication was noted from Albatross Yacht Sales , representing the owner of the property , Mr . Benjamin H . Swig , asking for a postponement to August 28 , 1972 , due to the absence of owner from the area at this time . Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht recommended against the postponement due to the legalities , and advised the case involved lengthy history of communications . Chief Building Official was sworn in , and photographs were passed to Council for their study of the property in question .
