142 It was brought out the family living in the one building had received notice to vacate the building by September 1st . The people involved in the building used for business , are aware of the abatement notice and date . Mr . Gyselbrecht suggested that there is still ample oppor- tunity for the owners to take some kind of an action within the next 30 days . The Building Department has been carrying on discussions with the owners of property for approximately 2 months . All parties concerned have been notified by certified mail . Mrs . Irene W . Merk, Secretary to Mr , Franklin Salaman, again requested postponement of this hearing due to both Mr . Benjamin H . Swig and Mr . Salaman not being in town . Mr . Salaman , however , had indicated to her he had been talk- ing to demolition firms to get bids . There being no further discussion or communications , Councilman Norris moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried . Councilman Norris moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6780 DECLARING CERTAIN STRUCTURES LOCATED AT, AND IN THE VICINITY OF , 450 MAIN STREET AND 456 MAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, DIRECTING THE OWNER TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, AND ORDhRING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO BE MADE A. LIEN UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT ABATED BY THE OWNER , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote . REQUEST OF LALANNE PROPERTIES FOR ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. Lalanne to be used to assist the present residents of the area with their relocation costs , Mr . Marvin Siegel , 845 Oak Grove Ave . , Menlo Park , attorney , submitted for the record a list of property owners and tenants he was representing relative to the subject area , and spoke in oppo- sition to the annexation . The City Attorney at this point reminded the Council that if the remarks relate to the rezoning the Council should be aware of the fact that this was a matter that was subject to public hearing which has been closed and in order to hear testimony relative to the 8/14/72 Reg . Mtg .
