Munier , Our Lady of Mt . Carmel <br /> Church . <br /> ON ROLL CALL , the following were noted present : Councilmen Mary W . <br /> Henderson , Marguerite Leipzig , Robert E. Norris , William C . Rhodes , <br /> Mayor Paul C . Keckley and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . <br /> Councilmen Ray A . Weymouth and James S . Williams were noted absent . <br /> Also noted present were City Manager James M . Fales , Jr . , Assistant <br /> City Attorney Clark Maloney , Assistant City Manager James M . Smith , <br /> City Controller Jack Ference , Deputy Police Chief Joel Mansfield , <br /> Planning Director Ken Schroeter , Acting Deputy Director of Public <br /> Works Fred Sennewald , Construction Engineer Bill Martin and Steno - <br /> grapher Anna Hampton . <br /> Councilman Norris moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Regular Meet - <br /> ing of August 14 , 1972 , seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried . <br /> Mayor Keckley presented the Certificate of Distinguished Service to <br /> Walter Small , retiring member of the Planning Commission , with <br /> appropriate remarks commending him for his service with the Planning <br /> Commission as well as his many other civic activities . <br /> Tony M . Gonzales accepted the Certificate of Distinguished Service <br /> from Mayor Keckley , who expressed appreciation for his having served <br /> on the Housing Concerns Committee . Loyalty Oath was administered by <br /> Deputy City Clerk to Mr . Gonzales , following which Mayor Keckley <br /> presented to him Certificate of Appointment to the Planning Commission . <br /> Richard J . Pusich , new Director of Public Works was introduced to <br /> Council by the City Manager . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to <br /> initiate proceedings to add Section 2 . 90 and add Article 35 , <br /> Ordinance No . 1130 , the Zoning Ordinance , relating to service <br /> stations , declared open and affidavit of publication ordered filed . <br /> Planning Commission made the finding after a public <br /> hearing on May 9, 1972 , that the proposed <br /> amendment would be in the best interests of the <br /> City as a whole , and to recommend to Council <br /> adoption of the proposed amendment .
