148 <br /> City Manager recommended that Council open the public hearing , <br /> but rather than take testimony , to continue the matter until <br /> September 11 , 1972 , to allow time for the City Attorney ' s office <br /> to study in greater detail the recommendations of the Planning <br /> Commission . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to continue the public hearing until <br /> September 11 , 1972 , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #72 -162 ) <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to introduce Ordinance fixing the amount of <br /> money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within <br /> the City of Redwood City as revenue to carry on the various depart- <br /> ments of said City for the fiscal year 1972 -1973 , to pay the bonded <br /> indebtedness of said City falling due and becoming payable during <br /> said fiscal year together with the interest thereon , to maintain <br /> the Public Library of said City during said fiscal year , to provide <br /> funds for the Retirement Plan , to provide funds for Parking District <br /> No , 1 , to provide funds for General Improvement District No . 1 -64 , <br /> and fixing and levying the tax rate therefor , seconded by Councilman <br /> Henderson , Statement of rates and report were submitted to Council . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Weymouth and Williams <br /> being noted absent . <br /> Request of R . W . Mellott , 988 Edgecliff Way , for abandonment of public <br /> utility and wire clearance easements , Lot 16 , Block 3 , Farm Hill No . 6 . <br /> Property owners had requested abandonment of the <br /> easements at rear of their property in order to <br /> construct a swimming pool . Required fee had been <br /> depositied . The utility companies had consented <br /> to the abandonment . (Resolution of Intention sets <br /> public hearing for September 18 , 1972 ) Report was <br /> submitted to Council . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO , 6785 <br /> TO VACATE PORTIONS OF EASEMENTS FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES PURPOSES AND <br /> WIRE CLEARANCE PURPOSES IN LOT 16 , BLOCK 3 , "FARM HILL NO . 6 " , <br /> seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , <br /> Councilmen Weymouth and Williams were noted absent . <br /> Request of William Royer for outside sewer connection permit , 2880 <br /> Brewster Avenue ( vicinity of Portions of Lots 1 and 2 , Block 19 , <br /> Oak Knoll Manor Subdivision ) , <br /> Council had previously adopted Resolution No . 6169 granting two <br /> outside sewer connections , with condition that connections be <br /> 8/21/72 <br /> Reg . Mtg . <br />
