Reggetts . <br /> Councilman Norris moved to anprrnve , as mai. led , Minutes of Regular Meeting <br /> of August 21 , 1772 , seconded by Council_man Rhodes and Carried . <br /> Vice -Mayor Henderson announced that at the conclusion of the Regular <br /> Meeting , Council would adjourn to Executive Session fHr purpose of <br /> discussing. a potential li ti. gation matter . <br /> RED MORTON MEMORIAL , City Manager reviewed his report to Council based <br /> on summarization provided by Recreation Director , regarding a suggestion <br /> to Park and Recreation Commission that a study be undertaken for an <br /> appropriate memorial to Red Morton within the Park . A committee was <br /> formed by the Commission , who invited suggestions from interested <br /> citizens . and of twenty drawings submitted , an idea offered by <br /> Mr , Prank. Brady was selected and awarded a S50 . 00 prize , which he <br /> returned to the Red Morton Memorial Fund . Mr . Michael Iran , local <br /> architect offered his serv -i_ ces to formalize the proposal , and the <br /> Par') and Recreation Commission subsequently approved the drawings <br /> and recommended approval by Council of the desi gn and location . <br /> City Manager advised that the p .roiect was intended to be funded by <br /> private financing , without using City funds , Hopefully , the final <br /> 8 /28 /72 <br /> Reg . Mtg . <br />
