173 Mayor Keckley responded that Council understood one reason for changing was not for one or two-page copying , but to enable printing more of the multiple sets by other than the expensive Xerox copying method . Councilman Henderson noted City intended to use both Xerox and offset . In additional discussion , Engineering Administrative Assistant Arthur Balsamo , provided statistics relative to usage and costs , and that the most recent monthly bill from Xerox for 55 , 000 copies on the City Hall machine amounted to $1 , 200 . 00 . It was antici - pated the duplicator would be used for such things as printing the budget , various forms used by Police , Fire , Building , Public Works and other departments , and that the offset duplicator would more than pay for itself in a short time . Councilman Henderson questioned whether the matter of awarding the contract could be postponed , and felt it would be appropriate in view of questions raised for Staff to give Council a further report that would accommodate questions raised by Xerox representative . City Attorney indicated that assumhg the retention period of thirty days , it appeared there was sufficient time to hold the bids . Councilman Henderson moved to postpone action on award of the bid pending additional report from Staff , for two weeks (October 2 , 1972 ) , seconded by Councilman Williams . Councilman Weymouth felt that Staff had suffic - iently provided answers relative to cost factor . Motion carried , Council - man Weymouth and Mayor Keckley voting no . (MINUTE ORDER #72 - 172 ) Tractor-Loader, Department of Public Works -Water System Program . Request for approval of specifications and authorization to call for bids for this equipment was approved in the current budget . Unit to be equipped with an existing City-owned backhoe or drop -hammer for utilization as a pavement cutter , excavation-materials loader , and for compaction of trench and pavement repair materials . Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6802 APPROVING SPECI - FICATIONS FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE TRACTOR LOADER ; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR , seconded by Councilman Norris and carried on roll call vote . Parkway Fencing -- Marlin Subdivision No . 2 , GID 1 -64 . Homes in Marlin Subdivision No . 2 were nearing completion with some already occupied . In order to complete the subdivision , the parkway fencing should be constructed . Staff recommended that Council authorize preparation of plans and specifications . Funds were available in Streets and 9/18/72 Reg . Mtg .
