366 <br /> Sequoia Hospital to provide protection during construction at the <br /> hospital . <br /> Public Works . Plans and specifications for extension of Rolison <br /> Road northerly to its connection with Dow lass Avenue were completed <br /> and approved by Ampex . Plans and specifications for channelization <br /> and signal modification , Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas <br /> were complete and in process of being submitted to the State for <br /> approval . Public Works Department was in process of conducting an <br /> off- street parking study before further plans are drawn for improve- <br /> ment of El Camino Real , Whipple Avenue to Oak. Avenue , Also in <br /> study stage was the widening of Alameda de las Pulgas , with the <br /> Planning Department making a study of building sites and setbacks <br /> for each alternate plan . Plans and specifications were in process <br /> of being prepared for the Hudson Avenue-Roosevelt Avenue intersection . <br /> Installation of signals should be completed in the Spring . Community <br /> Park culvert was approximately 80% complete , including three culvert <br /> replacements at Fernside , Alameda and Connecticut . No difficulties <br /> encountered in handling flow water during recent rains . In anticipation <br /> of construction of a new water main by City of San Francisco , two water <br /> supply and pressure regulating stations on the Hetch-Hetchy right of <br /> way were rebuilt . Also completed was installation of a 33 " diameter <br /> steel casing and a 16 " diameter ductile iron water main under the main <br /> line at Chestnut Street , to replace a deteriorated steel water main orig- <br /> inally installed in 1936 . With reference to the 7- foot diameter water <br /> main which will be in process of installation by City and County of <br /> San Francisco for some time , City Manager noted that this would require <br /> a great deal of cooperation between the City and its residents , and the <br /> San Francisco Water Department , and he indicated it was hoped to have <br /> further reports to Council relating to timing, and the times of <br /> informational notices that it was hoped would be able to be presented <br /> to the people of the neighborhoods which will be subject to this <br /> construction so that the residents will be prepared when it does take <br /> place , <br /> 1 -3 -72 <br />
