He concluded that if the time could be shortened at all , he would not recommend shortening by more than one week . Councilman Weymouth asked what the present status of the site was . Mr . Olivia responded that trenching was done for three of the four buildings and excavation done for garages , with two sets of forms ready for inspection . Council expressed concern that the developer was being halted in the middle of its project , and City Manager gave assurance that no action of the Council tonight would change the ability of the appli - cant to continue building the structures . The issue was subdivi - sion from one lot to four lots , not the building permits , which had already been issued . Following brief additional discussion , motion to continue the matter carried . (MINUTE ORDER #72 -185 ) Proposed Real Property Acquisition -- 900 and 904 Main Street , Negotiations were substantially completed by Staff as authorized by Council on August 29 , 1972 for acquisition of the property , and was now recommended for authorization by Council to conduct the necessary legal procedures for the acquisition . Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6813 AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PURCHASE OF CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 900 AND 904 MAIN STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, SUBJECT TO LEASE BACK OF A PORTION THEREOF ; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE SAID PROPERTY, seconded -- by Councilman Rhodes and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Henderson , Norris and Williams being noted absent . REPORT OF BID OPENING, Tractor-Loader , Staff report indicated only one bid was received for this equipment , from Contractor ' s Machinery , San Jose , in the amount of $7 , 270 . 20 . Staff recommended award of contract to this bidder . However , since only $6 , 000 was budgeted , additional funds were needed to be transferred . City Manager 10/9/72 Reg . Mtg .
