Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6814 TRANSFERRING $220 FROM APPROPRIATION FOR PURCHASE OF SUPPLIES AND OTHER SERVICES FOR DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS , WATER SYSTEM PROGRAM, TO APPROPRIATION FOR CAPITAL EXPENDITURES , DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS WATER SYSTEM PROGRAM, AND RESOLUTION NO . 6815 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISH- ING OF ONE TRACTOR LOADER, seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried on roll call vote , Councilmen Henderson , Norris , and Williams being noted absent . Municipal Marina Parking Lot Lighting - Plans and Specifications and authorization to call for bids . ( Charley Brown Restaurant ) Proposed plans and specifications had previously been submitted to Council on August 7 , 1972 , and thereafter referred to the Waterfront Committee for further review with Staff on design . It was now recommended Council reconsider the original design along with alternates incor- porating a low mounting height fixture . City Manager advised that Staff had brought sketches of the proposed design and alternate for viewing by Council . Councilman Leipzig indicated she still favored the design used by Charley Brown Restaurant , City Manager responded that those were strictly decorative lighting fixtures , and there was no way to "beef up " to provide any satisfactory kind of lighting for a parking lot . The proposal was for parking lot -type lighting and this was what Charley Brown Restaurant was interested in , as the parking lot was too dark . A provision in the agreement with the restaurant was that City install acceptable parking lot lighting . Councilman Weymouth advised that the members of the Committee felt that the standard showed imagination and they were convinced it provided the adequate light , and in addition , that the design tied in with the atmosphere of the Marina . After review , Committee members were convinced that they liked the original presentation . Director of Public Works displayed sketches of the designs , and ad - vised that either the 301 or 14 ' would provide the same level of lighting , but more standards would be required for the lower in height . As far as his Department was concerned , either would provide adequate lighting . Mayor Keckley stated he would be in favor of supporting the recommendation of the Waterfront Committee preference 10/9/72 Reg . Mtg .
